Everyone knows that photography is my scream to the top of my lungs, jump up with joy, butterflies in my stomach, giddy with excitement, passion (of course, aside from Bret, friends/family, and God). I still owe you a blog discussing the many reasons I love photography. It’s still on my list of things to blog about. One of the wonderful things about photography that most wouldn’t even think about, is the connection you can make with other photographers across the country. With this, I have met and made so many wonderful friends. A few years ago when I *first* became interested in photography and seeing it as a possibility to release some creativity, I met (through the lovely world of Myspace) someone who changed my outlook on photography and has since became a long time friend. Amy told me that you didn’t have to have a bunch of lights and a studio to be a photographer. After that, everything just exploded. She said she learned everything from her sister, who lived in FL. Then enters Stacey. The funny thing is that we all went to the same high school for a while. We have many of the same friends. Amy and I live 2 hours from each other (if that) and hadn’t met until this summer…in FL! lol. Stacey and I got to meet last year while we were there to visit. She lives in the same area we go on vacation. We always have a blast. She takes our picture…I chase the kiddos and take their pictures…Bret hams it up for the camera. I was so excited this year when we were able to work it out to be there Amy’s last night (and birthday!). Now…I just can’t wait for little Chum Chum to get here so we get to meet him! I swear, it truly seems like we’ve known each other forever. Even Bret said it seemed like we were all old friends. He loved meeting Amy and Stacey’s other halves and beautiful children. I just absolutely can’t wait to see you all again and give big hugs.
Here are some of my favorites from the evening with Stacey…
Did I mention the yummy light? And her beautiful kiddos? Mr. P and Bret were instant friends. He loves how intelligent and competitive P already is. I’m pretty sure that P loves how Bret’s a big kid and very competitive himself.
Beautiful Miss L. I can hear her now “I do it myself.” So independent. She kept right up with P and insisted she could do anything he could.
Look at those curls!
“Hold you…” Loved the relationship between Stacey and L. She and Amy are both such wonderful mothers. So laid back and so loving.
Here’s the wonderful picture we got of the three of us. Hopefully we’ll get to see each other soon and get a much better picture 🙂 Look how gorgeous they are! Oh you should see the maternity pictures Stacey did of Amy. OH MY GOODNESS! Amazing! I am very lucky to be friends with such talented ladies.
PS…look how dark my hair is!
Peace and so much love,
Cilla
