in home family lifestyle session in lexington ky
Oh my goodness…I didn’t think I could love anything more than their newborn session, but now I’m in love with this one…so there’s that 🙂 6-10 months is one of my most favorite to photograph. This is when their little personalities begin to really shine through and they usually have a little chunk on them by then…which I LOVE.
My goal for your session is to always show the beauty in this stage of life. To take the pressure off, I assure you that if we need to we will redo it or do a smaller session to capture what we weren’t able to before. Because, ya know what, little ones have off days. I swear when they know I’m coming over they decide they won’t nap that day. I can’t tell you how many people have shared that their little one usually naps, but not on that day. The thing is, usually we are able to have a successful photo session even if it doesn’t feel like it. Sweet N was just off this day. He hadn’t had his usual amount of nap time and was teething like crazy. So, we did the session and decided I would come back for a little mini session to capture anything we missed. But oh my goodness…did we ever get so many beautiful images from the first session and the second one was just icing on the cake. You’ll see images from both sessions in this blog post 🙂
Seriously…my heart just smiles so big when I see this sweet family and the way they love each other. THIS is grumpy N. He’s just such a happy baby! And he is loved so incredibly well. I’m so thankful to watch him grow and cannot wait to see what the coming years bring for him.
We started with momma waking him and seeing the joy on his face as we walked into the room. There may have been a mix of pure confusion as she’s not usually joined by a lady with a camera in front of her face. Then from there it was just doing all the normal things. Getting dressed, playing in their room, some truly yummy lunch (seriously…I’m trying to convince them to do a baby food book), bath time, nursing, and night night again (since he didn’t get his first nap all out). Y’all, this is it what lifestyle photography is all about. Showing your love, the realness of it, the every day of it. All those little things that you don’t want to forget. It all passes way too quickly. I want to hold onto every single bit of it and I want that for you too.
So much love,
Cilla
