Well, hello there strangers! It’s been a while since my last blog and I’ve had SO much to blog about!!! I have some catching up to do! For starters, one of my beautiful best friend’s wedding. I knew when Jaslyn asked me to photograph her wedding that is was going to be a wedding to remember and she did not disappoint! Jaslyn and I use to dream about our weddings. In college, we were the freaks with the wedding magazines and no fiance’ 🙂 We would sit and talk about what kind of dress we wanted, what the dream ring would look like…and maybe a little talk about the kind of men we wanted to marry. All the other ladies may want to deny it, but they loved going to our stash of wedding magazines and getting lost in their dreams of the big day. I remember the night of my wedding, Jaslyn came to me and said “isn’t this more than you ever dreamed of?” I so wish I had said those same words to her. It was beautiful. The details were amazing! Green and black….beautiful combo! And the Louisville skyline…I mean…how can you go wrong!?! And Jaslyn and Scott were just beaming.
This first image is one of my favorite skyline pictures I’ve ever done. This was taken at the rehearsal dinner that Jaslyn was nice enough to invite me to. It was held at Buckhead’s on the River in beautiful “Kentuckian”. What a perfect way to kick off this weekend. Jaslyn and Scott’s big day focused around the beautiful city they both love…and of course their love for each other 🙂
Beautiful momma watchin her daughter prepare for her biggest day 🙂 I have a feeling she had been dreaming of this day herself.
I love the new trend of wearing a broach in your hair (who would’ve thunk it). As such a beautiful touch.
Yeah…this would be that perfect ring Jaslyn had been dreaming of.
Okay…we gotta talk about the shoes. We all know that shoes are one of my favorite things to photograph at weddings (I know…sounds crazy, but they are always such a beautiful detail. Can you believe i just wore slippers? I was comfortable though.). These are my favorite shoes ever! I also love the new trend of adding a little splash of color with your shoes! The days of the all white wordrobe are long gone. Yes…jaslyn’s shoes were green! And she asked for them to be died that way! I hear she got quite the look at David’s bridal!
Uuummmm…what did I tell you about the details?
Love the relationship between father and daughter.
Waiting for her prince. She was also looking at the hankerchief from a dear friend and sorority sister who passed away a while back. I know this was Jaslyn’s favorite detail and it meant so much to her. I saw her eyes well up with tears when she received it and when she was telling Scott about it.
Hot momma!!!! I love my beautiful red head friends 🙂
K…so it was the brightest and hottest day in KY October history. Oh…well, maybe it wasn’t, but it sure seemed like it!
Hotties! Jaslyn says the look like a hot mafia 🙂
Not sure the mafia does this too often.
The processional was beautiful. Two of our friends played “The Rose” with their flutes and Jaslyn walked down to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” by Israel “Iz” Kaʻanoʻi Kamakawiwoʻole. It was so moving. I LOVE that song!
Yes! I fit everyone in a line on the roof of Glassworks. Shew….wasn’t sure that was going to happen!
Last, but certainly not least, a sweet little kiss at sunset. This was what I was most excited about when Jaslyn told me what time they were getting married 🙂
Jaslyn and Scott, thank you for letting me be a part of such a big day. I feel honored to be the one chosen to record all the happy moments and even the stressful ones 🙂 I love you both. And how about those Steelers!?! Woot woot!
