Their life, love, and laughter inspire me year after year. Every single session we have together is pure magic simply because they let go and love each other. They open up in front of my camera. Even when one or two littles would rather hide from me, we go with it, knowing…eventually…we will get it. Get the beautiful chaos and joy that surrounds them. Their home is filled with comfort, life, a garden, chickens, swings, and so much joy in every detail. Y’all know, in-home lifestyle sessions are my favorite…right? Being a family photographer means I get the unique opportunity to peek into your lives and see what your love looks like. It brings me so much happiness!
As soon as I arrived, I was greeted with a game of hide-and-seek. Rest of the evening we played silly games and I said “snuggle up” a million times (and pretend like we aren’t all sweating :)). We explored the garden, picked fresh tomatoes and zinnias, and held chickens (well…I did the photographing…they did the holding). If I could do every single photo session in a family garden, I totally would. Or the beach. Both are my favorites. Cause they’re messy and perfectly imperfect. Just like life. And typically we can let loose and have fun…without worrying about everything being so-so. It’s all about just being. Just breathing it all in and going with it. And that is what we did.
