h senior session downtown lexington ky
Y’all…I just can’t with this senior session. I was so honored when her momma reached out to me. See I’ve known her family for ten years now. Her momma is this area’s favorite doula and I was so grateful to have her teach me all about birth and hold my hand (and leg) while I pushed steff into this world. Around that time, she gave me the gift of photographing her family and I’ve loved all of them ever since. Through Facebook, I’ve got to watch as H grew into this beautiful lady and one of my most favorite seniors ever. You know the saying “beautiful inside and out”? As cheesy as it sounds, it’s the truest sentiment about H. Her heart, her life, her smile, her eyes…all is just filled with so much beauty and such a great personality to go with it. She radiates joy, grace, and love. I know they have so many photographers to choose from and I am forever grateful they chose me.
I knew her session would be perfect no matter where it took place, but boy did they pick some good spots in Lexington. We started at Forage at the Greyline and stopped in Radio Lex with their oh-so-cool floor made out of records. Next, we went to the Distillery District where there are just so many cool little walls, lights, and corners to shoot. While at the Distillery District, we stopped by the yummy Crank and Boom ice cream shop. If you haven’t had Crank and Boom’s handcrafted ice cream, then you need to make it top of your list of things to try in the Lexington area or have it shipped nationwide! We wrapped up our session in the fields of Masterson Station park (and just a little patch of wildflowers on the side of the road) right at sunset…my favorite time to shoot in any field. If you’re looking for the perfect location for a senior photography session in Lexington, these spots were so dreamy for us!
As always, thank you for trusting me with your love.
So much love,
Cilla
